GCSE stands for General Certificate of Secondary Education. GCSEs are taken as a course of study before taking A Levels or a Foundation pathway. If you’re interested in pursuing a course of study in the UK that leads to a UK university place, getting the right GCSE grades will help you get there.

The College that we have tied up with offer a range of different courses to suit a variety of interests. To find a programme that matches your age and ability, choose from

  • Pre-GCSE, our intensive GCSE programme : An intensive GCSE programme lasting three or four terms. This is perfect for students starting their studies later than expected or those who want to quickly advance into further study.
  • 2 year GCSE Pathway Programme : If you’re aged 14 or 15 and need to improve your IELTS score before joining the 3 term GCSE, you can join our Pre-GCSE programme for one, two or three terms.

2 Year GCSE Pathway Programme

Students typically study nine subjects with exams taken at the end of two years. You can choose one of five academic pathways depending on your interests and university ambitions. On our 2 year GCSE Pathway Programme you’ll develop the language, learning and cultural skills you need to succeed in the highly competitive world of higher education. You’ll study in a welcoming environment, alongside students from all over the world.

Join this pathway if you are 14 or 15 years old. To help you get a broad education, we group core subjects into five pathways based on your interest. Choose from the following:

  1. Business and Economics Pathway : Science, Economics, English, Mathematics and Business Studies. Relevant enrichment: Young Enterprise.
  2. Creative Arts Pathway : Science, English, Mathematics, ICT and Art. Relevant enrichment: drawing and painting workshops, puppetry and Coding Club.
  3. Humanities Pathway : English, Mathematics, Science, History and Global Perspectives. Relevant enrichment: creative writing and junior parliament.
  4. Science and Engineering Pathway : English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Geography. Relevant enrichment: Young Innovators Club and robotics building.
  5. Young Oxbridge Pathway : English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Modern Foreign Languages and either History or Geography. Relevant enrichment: Creative Coding and lectures at the University of Oxford.

Extra subjects

Students on the 2 Year GCSE Pathway will also study two or three extra subjects, called ‘option subjects’, to broaden your interests and impress universities. Choices include: Art, Business Studies, Drama, Economics, French, Geography, Global Perspectives, History, ICT, Photography, Psychology and Spanish.

Enrichment opportunities

You will also be able to participate in our enrichment opportunities. These allow students to continue learning outside of the classroom by joining clubs, playing sports or taking additional lessons in the subjects they love. Enrichment is a great way to broaden your knowledge and prepare for the future.

Where will this programme take me?

By completing the 2 Year GCSE Pathway Programme in your chosen pathway, you can continue your studies with A Level or Foundation programmes in a variety of subjects. These will give you the skills needed to attend well respected universities throughout the UK and rest of the world.
